T07.1 - A New Single-Active-Switch Non-Isolated Dual-Output Step-Up Converter

This paper introduces a new single active switch non-isolated dual-output step-up DC/DC converter based on the voltage lift (VL) technique. This converter integrates two DC/DC converter topologies, the quadratic boost converter (QBC) and a modified Ćuk converter, in a single stage. QBC and Ćuk converters can be used in many applications such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Photovoltaic (PV), wind power, fuel cell, automotive and telecom applications. PV panels can provide voltage in the range of 12 – 48 V. Thus, it needs to be sufficiently stepped up to the DC link voltage level (350 – 400 VDC).
