This paper presents a two-stage medium-voltage SST system for the electrolyzer power supply in a green hydrogen application. For this system, the DC-DC stage is a modular architecture in an ISOP configuration and the basic building block is composed of a medium-frequency isolated five-level LLC resonant converter. The design of the modular SST system based on the multilevel converter is presented. Further, the advantages and limitations of the proposed architecture are described. Simulation results are presented to validate the theoretical analyses.
