Jason Neely received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1999 and 2001 respectively. He then worked at Sandia National Laboratories, in the Intelligent Systems and Robotics Center, focusing on circuits and embedded controllers for power and control of autonomous and remotely-operated systems. In 2010, he earned his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University with a focus on online optimal controls for power electronic converters and systems. He is currently a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories, working on the integration of power electronics for transportation, grid, and national security applications. Jason has over 60 technical publications, including journals, conference proceedings, and two book chapters. He holds various patents, he is the co-recipient of two R&D100 awards, and he is currently the chair of the Albuquerque Section IEEE and the Power and Energy Society (PES) / Power Electronics Society (PELS) joint chapter.
