Dr. Govind Chavan received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2017. After graduation, he worked on developing series-connected power flow control devices for the AC transmission grid. Currently, he is working with ABB, Inc. at the ABB US Research Center in Raleigh, NC. His primary research interests are in developing solid-state circuit breakers for DC microgrids, DC power system protection design, and power flow control.
