The scope of this presentation is to describe our proposed solution to the design challenges of high-power density and high-efficiency switched mode power supplies showing a valuable example of a complete GaN-based 3 kW PSU with 50 V nominal output targeting server and telecom applications, and achieving a state-of-the-art power density of circa 100 W / inch³ and an overall peak efficiency of circa 97.5 %.
