Chatumal Perera (S’13, M’21) received the B.Sc. Eng. Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with First Class Honors from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2015. He completed his Ph.D. degree in 2021 at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Canada.
He worked as a postdoctoral fellow and a research associate at the Laboratory for Advanced Power Conversion and Systems Analysis (LAPCSA) at the University of Toronto, Canada from 2021 to 2023. He is currently a staff engineer in electrical design at Celestica. His main research interests include electric vehicles, motor drives, multi-level converters, PWM and converter control.
