Raj is an Associate Professor at the Biomedical Engineering at Florida International University. He also has a joint appointment at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. His research focuses on power supply integration for computing, advanced components and manufacturing for 5G and beyond, and biomedical sensors and therapeutic solutions. His research is currently funded through several industry support and partnerships along with federal grants from NSF FuSe, NSF Eager, NSF IUCRC, NSF PFI, NSF STTR and DoD. He coauthored more than 370 publications, which include 20 book chapters in packaging and component integration. His research received more than 25 best-paper awards in various conferences over the past 25 years. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions of CPMT and IEEE Nanotechnology magazine where he led the creation of focused special issues in the area of nanopackaging. He was the IEEE Nanotechnology Distinguished Lecturer from 2020-2022, and also served in committee chair roles for Nanopackaging TC, and ECTC subcommittees. He earned his B Tech from IIT Kanpur, MS from IISc Bangalore and PhD from Rutgers University. Before joining FIU, he was at Georgia Tech PRC for 19 years, where he advanced several packaging technologies.
