John Glaser received his BSEE from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 1987 and MSEE and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 1991 and 1996 respectively, with a focus on power electronics. Dr. Glaser has worked at Motorola, Hughes Missile Systems and General Electric Global Research, and is presently Director of Applications Engineering at Efficient Power Conversion Corporation (EPC) in El Segundo, CA.
His experience encompasses a wide variety of power electronics for consumer, commercial, medical, industrial, and aerospace applications for power levels ranging from 1 W to 100 kW and frequencies ranging from 50 Hz to > 100 MHz. He has expertise in HF and VHF power circuit design and analysis, magnetics, power electronics packaging, thermal management, and wide bandgap semiconductor applications.
Dr. Glaser is the author or co-author of over 50 technical papers and articles, three books, and is inventor or co-inventor of over 60 granted patents worldwide, and is an IEEE Senior Member.
