Feida Chen (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M. S. degrees in electrical engineering from Beihang University, Beijing, China in 2015 and 2018, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI, USA. He works as a research assistant with the Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium (WEMPEC) since 2019. His research interests include power electronics, integrated motor drive, current source inverter, Wide Bandgap Devices, and permanent magnet machines.
Mr. Chen was a recipient of the Student Demonstration Hardware Competition Second Place at 2022 Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE) and Novotny Power Engineering Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023.
