Aditya Zade received his master's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, India, in 2018. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree with the power electronics department and ASPIRE NSF ERC, Utah State University, USA.
He was a senior research engineer and deputy manager with Hirect Ltd., India, from 2018 to 2021. During his academic and professional research experience, he has worked on the development of a 500-kVA ac-ac locomotive converter, a 1-MW wireless EV charging infrastructure based on a 21-kW building block, power converter-based impedance emulation of 5-kVA passive loads, 1-kVA smart solar microgrid inverter, and 500-W BLDC motor-based e-bike. His research interests lie primarily in the design, modeling, and control of power converters, wireless power transfer, EV battery charging systems, and wide bandgap SiC-/GaN-based converters.
Mr. Zade received the gold medal during his master’s program. Additionally, he mentored the Utah State University undergraduate team, securing first place in the 2022 IEEE International Future Energy Challenge.
