For interleaved boost 3X converter, the conventional equal duty ratio control (EDRC) is able to provide three times voltage gain of the boost converter, but its two average inductor currents are not balanced. In this paper, the sensorless current balancing control (SCBC) is proposed to yield balanced inductor currents without sensing any current. The proposed control method is implemented in a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip. The provided experimental results validate the proposed control.
