Modern EVs require bidirectional power conversion from the high voltage battery to the low voltage distribution systems to power loads such as air conditioning, infotainment, safety elements or active suspensions. This dc-dc converter requires high efficiency and power density while achieving bidirectional operation and fast dynamics. This paper proposes a bidirectional 400-12 V dc-dc converter using a dual-active-bridge structure with fast dynamics and integrated transformer. The proposed converter is designed and implemented, and it is tested using a dual-channel 2,2 kW converter.
