This session provides an overview of a novel workflow to simulate the radiated emissions from cables connected to power converters and motor drives. A key aspect of this workflow is to fully understand the impact of simplifications on model fidelity or uncertainty in parameters. The goal is to show that it is possible to include high fidelity cable and switch models in a power converter or motor drive simulation and get reliable convergence and simulation results in an hour. The demonstrated workflow will link Altair PSIM [1], a power electronics simulation tool with Altair Feko [2], a high frequency electromagnetic tool.
