in this application we will go over the gate driver current strength selection for applications and the basic steps. The we will deep dive into the different output stage designs of gate drivers and how they impact the application. Lastly, we will show some comparisons on the different output stage designs and also discuss how they impact the application in terms of switching losses. The end goal is to show customers how similarly looking gate drivers can perform quite different and to advocate for final gate driver selection in the lab, using real measurements and calculations, instead of relying only on datasheet analysis.
